My native country, as many European countries, didn't celebrate Halloween or the All Saints Day until recently. We recognize Halloween as 'The Day of the Dead'. It is used to honor the dead... no costumes, no parties. However, it is getting more and more popular in recent years to celebrate Halloween - frightening ghost stories, the people are dressing up as creatures from the underworld, witches, celebrities, princesses..., the homes are decorated with pumpkins and candles, teenagers are going out trick-or-treating...
I've celebrated Halloween for first time a year ago.
